Weekend Family Time

this past weekend, all three days of it, was lovely and slow and we got to spend alot of time as a family.  from a slow brunch with friends on saturday morning, to movie nights, a meal out, family walks, to house cleaning and errands.  it was all really enjoyable. i felt proud of us this weekend.  and thankful to be on this team. it made me wish this baby knew what a great crew its coming into.
both of the girls were just delightful (for the most part) and i really enjoyed watching them outside.  they are always the most content and the most joyful and animated outside.  we are so thankful to live somewhere where nature is accessible just outside the door.
oh that etta.  i am going through a stage where im just obsessed with her.  lets be honest about it shall we?
we went to the campus where robert and i both studied (and where we got married) and spent time feeding the ducks and walking around the beautiful lake.  its the first time in a long time that i have wanted, or been able, to get out and do something even remotely active.  i was basking in the glorious weather.
etta went back and forth between fear and excitement, not often far away from either robert or myself
and i actually ended up in a few of the photos, which is so rare.
some of my favorite photos from our wedding day were taken on this bridge and around this lake, so walking these paths with the girls is so special, and such a reality check.

i would do the whole thing all over exactly the same if i could.
